Best Book on Coffee 2021

We were greatly honored to receive Gourmand Awards’ prestigious award BEST BOOK ON COFFEE 2021 for our book, Fika: Made in Sweden, during World Cuisines Week in Paris, 29 November - 6 December, 2021. 

The award is a recognition of the book and the entire team that contributed to it. It is also a recognition of FIKA – and thereby Sweden.

 Mr Cointreau, who founded the Gourmand Awards some 25 years ago, explained that for a book to be considered for such a distinguished award it had to fulfil two requirements. Absolutely essential is that the book has international appeal. However, most importantly, the book has to have something special, a spirit or soul, “so you can feel the people through the book”, said Mr Cointreau.
